It's been a couple of days and I'm finally able to climb down off of cloud nine long enough to say thank you.
Thank you to the backers and supporters for pledging to the campaign, and for continuing to spread the word all they way up until the campaign's final minutes.
Thank you to the contributors, both on art and story, who believe in the book we're building and agreed to come and make comics with us.
Thanks to Matt Miner for convincing me we should make this crazy book in the first place.
Thanks to my partner (as well, I assume, to Matt's) for becoming a 'Kickstarter widow' for these past thirty days while I obsessively checked on progress, tweeted, updated Facebook, and answered emails and interviews.
Thanks to A Wave Blue World for bringing us onboard.

A few housekeeping bits:
1) It looks like Kickstarter was unable to collect some pledges; if that happened to you -- Kickstarter will inform you by email if that's the case -- and you'd still like to support us, or to get your rewards, please make sure you update your payment information so Kickstarter can collect your pledge, and we, subsequently, can send you your stuff.
2) The schedule at this minute is to complete prepress work by the end of September and send the book to print for a delivery to you no later than January.
Digital copies will go out as soon as we send the book to press. We'll send surveys out near-ish this time, so don't panic if you don't immediately receive one.
We'll do our best to tease art updates between now and then without clogging your inbox with spam. It's a narrow road to walk, we know.

*In my best Professor Farnsworth voice*... GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!
Eric and I approached this project with a "we're not going to wait to be given permission to make these comics" attitude and figured we'd self-publish the anthology and do it our way and if a publisher showed interest and they were the right fit, then we could team up at a later date.
Well, that later date just came and we're thrilled to announce that THIS NIGHTMARE KILLS FASCISTS will be published by A Wave Blue World!
I consider A Wave Blue World to be a specialized publisher of very high quality and oftentimes politically charged books. They're the folks who put out American Terrorist, which gives a realistic (but exaggerated for comics and fun) look at radical environmental activism, which everyone should read - and more recently, the Broken Frontier anthology that blew up on Kickstarter and brought us great stories from some of the biggest names and brightest talent that comics has to offer.
I'm proud that TNKF will be shelved next to American Terrorist and all the other great books this publisher has in their catalogue and I thank you all, again, profusely, for supporting this book and making it a reality.
We have just 24 hours to go on this project, so if you want to upgrade your pledge to a signed bookplate edition, or to a creator pack, or add on a script review - now is the time. Hit your Facebook and Twitter with one last plea to your friends to get on board this project and let's finish strong!

Guys, we need your help. We have 3 days left to bridge the gap and bring this project to goal.
What we need from you:
1) Tweet and Facebook the link nightmarekickstarter.com and tell your friends and family to come support the project.
2) Upgrade your pledges - if you're at a digital level, consider stepping up to a print level. If you're at the basic print level, maybe you'd like to get the limited signed bookplate edition? Or maybe one of the creator book packs? Or some original art?
This is going to be a fantastic book, but we don't get ANY of the money unless we hit 100% of the goal. If we don't hit 20k the book will NOT be made.
Kick a Nazi in the nuts today by helping us spread the word and raise the dough!

First of, thanks again to everyone for pledging and for spreading the word. We hit our goal but we're not done yet. We're now into the final 48 hours of the campaign, and Matt and I have set a few straightforward stretch goals in the hopes that we can heap some more rewards upon you in exchange for your support. And, perhaps more importantly, these stretch goals will allow us to give a little extra back to the talented writers and artists whose work will make this book shine.
Our first stretch goal, at $22,500, will increase the size of the book from 176 to 200 pages. The next stretch goal, at $25,000, entitles ALL backers to a 200-page DRM-free digital bundle of creator-owned comics from the contributors to This Nightmare Kills Fascists, and each successive stretch goal doubles the size of the bundle.
